About Volt Verdict

Volt Verdict helps Australians buy an e-bike or e-scooter that's good value and legal to ride.

Most e-bikes in Australia are sold by small direct-to-consumer brands and specialist shops. Store pages rarely say clearly whether a bike meets the rules, and prices move around a lot. We bring the facts together in one place:

• Clean, sourced specs. Every figure links to the manufacturer or store page it came from. If a spec isn't published, we say so and don't guess.
• Compliance checks. EN 15194 status, NSW certification and whether a model is road-legal as a bicycle, each with its source.
• Honest price history. We record what Australian stores charge over time and only call a price "low" when the history backs it up.
• Price-drop alerts by email, with double opt-in and one-click unsubscribe.

Who we are

Volt Verdict is edited by Grian Myers. We research from manufacturer and retailer information and official sources. We don't claim to have ridden or tested a bike unless we have.
