Our verdict

✓Volt Verdict Verified: Sourced specs & compliance
Bonnell's full-size MX and enduro bike, with 42 kW peak and a swappable 3.9 kWh battery, though its figures are preliminary.

Who it's for

Experienced riders with private land or club track access. Bonnell says it is for off-road use only and it can't be registered, so it is not for roads, paths or other public land. No minimum rider age is stated.

Alternatives

The Talaria Komodo is a cheaper full-size rival, and the Stark VARG MX 1.2 is the other full-size electric MX bike in the catalogue.

Strengths

  • 42 kW peak and 805 Nm at the rear wheel
  • 3.9 kWh battery swaps out with a key; a 4.7 kWh Race battery is optional
  • Traction control, wheel-lift assist, e-clutch and regen
  • Sirris fork and shock with 245 mm travel

Drawbacks

  • Off-road only: not registrable
  • Bonnell calls all figures preliminary and gives no range
  • Weight differs between sources, 99 kg or 96 kg
