Our verdict

✓Volt Verdict Verified: Sourced specs & compliance
A youth fun bike recommended for ages 6 to 10, with four speed modes from 15 to 50 km/h and a 1152 Wh removable battery.

Who it's for

Parents of children aged 6 to 10, CFMOTO's recommended range, within the 30 kg rider limit; parents can start them in the 15 km/h beginner mode. It is an off-road motor vehicle, not a bicycle or toy, so it can't be ridden on roads, paths or parks, only on private land with permission or at a club track.

Alternatives

The CFMOTO CFX-5E is the bigger version for ages 10 and up, and the KTM SX-E 2.12 is lighter at 27 kg for more money.

Strengths

  • Four speed modes of 15, 25, 35 and 50 km/h, with the active limit on the display
  • 1152 Wh removable battery, claimed 60 km at a steady 30 km/h
  • Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear
  • Magnetic safety lanyard

Drawbacks

  • Not registrable: private land or tracks only
  • 30 kg maximum rider weight
  • Weighs 49 kg, well over the rider weight limit
  • 10 to 80% charge takes about 4.3 hours
