Editor's take
Our verdict
A step up from the Junior 12 for ages 6 to 9, with a 221 Wh battery, linked disc brakes and parent-selectable speed caps.
Who it's for
Parents of children aged 6 to 9, the stated range for this model, within the 70 kg maximum load. It has a throttle and is an off-road motor vehicle, not a bicycle or toy, so it can't be ridden on roads, paths or parks, only on private land with permission or at a club track.
Alternatives
The Talaria Junior 12 is smaller and cheaper for ages 4 to 6, and the CFMOTO CFX-2E suits ages 6 to 10 with a much larger battery for more money.
Strengths
- Two parent-selectable speed caps, 6 or 10 mph
- Linked front and rear disc brakes, hydraulic at the rear
- Claimed 25 km range and a 1.4 hour charge
- Air fork and seat height adjustable from 500 to 570 mm
Drawbacks
- Not registrable: private land or tracks only
- Top speed is capped at 10 mph, about 16 km/h
- Not listed on the Talaria AU distributor site; sold through PEDL
- No adult-supervision guidance on the retailer page

Legal status
Where can you ride it?
- Bicycle rules
- Not a bicycle
- Its power and speed are far beyond the 250 W, 25 km/h pedelec limits, so bicycle rules don't apply.
- Road registration
- Off-road only
- Stated by the maker or its Australian distributor. Source: pedl.com.au.
An unregistered e-moto can only be ridden on private land with the owner's permission, or at a track or park that allows it. Riding one on roads, footpaths, bike paths or parks risks fines, and in some states the bike can be seized.
Note: Kids electric off-road ride-on with a throttle; exceeds pedelec limits, not registrable. Retailer says state rules vary. Private land or tracks only.
