Editor's take
Our verdict
CFMOTO's larger youth bike for ages 10 and up, with a 2332 Wh battery and a 15 km/h beginner limiter.
Who it's for
Parents of riders aged 10 and up, CFMOTO's recommended range, within the 50 kg rider limit; it is pitched as an electric alternative to a 110 cc kids' bike, and a limiter toggle caps it at 15 km/h for beginners. It is an off-road motor vehicle, not a bicycle or toy, so it can't be ridden on roads, paths or parks, only on private land with permission or at a club track.
Alternatives
The Sur-Ron Hyper Bee is lighter at 39 kg for slightly more, and the CFMOTO CFX-2E is the smaller version for ages 6 to 10.
Strengths
- Largest battery of the kids' models here at 2332 Wh
- Speed modes from 16 to 70 km/h, plus reverse and a 15 km/h limiter
- Claimed 100 km at a steady 30 km/h
- Hydraulic disc brakes and a magnetic safety lanyard
Drawbacks
- Not registrable: private land or tracks only
- 66 kg, the heaviest kids' model here with a stated weight
- Battery voltage is listed as both 44 V and 48 V on the CFMOTO page
- The ride-away price is an offer that ends 31 December 2026

Legal status
Where can you ride it?
- Bicycle rules
- Not a bicycle
- Its power and speed are far beyond the 250 W, 25 km/h pedelec limits, so bicycle rules don't apply.
- Road registration
- Off-road only
- Stated by the maker or its Australian distributor. Source: cfmoto.com.au.
An unregistered e-moto can only be ridden on private land with the owner's permission, or at a track or park that allows it. Riding one on roads, footpaths, bike paths or parks risks fines, and in some states the bike can be seized.
Note: Youth off-road fun bike; private land or tracks only, not road registrable.
